Staff

Lead Minister

Clint Rhodes

Clint is passionate about communicating God’s word in a way that is relevant and engaging. He wants to see people come to a greater understanding of God’s unrelenting love for them, and then compelled by that love, live lives as disciples of Jesus.

Clint and his wife Stephanie have 4 sons, Dawson, Kellin, Brennon, and Rylan.

Children's & Operations Minister

Lisa Rowland

I have been in Children’s Ministry for over 17 years and I absolutely love helping children know how much Jesus loves them and how much He wants to have a relationship with them. I have been married to my husband for 29 years and we have one daughter. My family is usually serving right beside me because they enjoy seeing these kids grow deeper in their faith as much as I do. It is important to me to partner with parents and helps provide them with the tools that they need to raise their children up as fully devoted followers of Christ.

Worship Minister

Bryan Vickers

Bryan is passionate about leading God’s people in Biblical, spirit-filled worship. In 2015, the Lord laid a desire on Bryan’s heart to fully utilize his giftings for the Kingdom of God and to be stretched and developed in new ways for the Lord’s service. Through relational discipleship and a genuine love for all people, Bryan strives to usher in worship and praise in ways that unite the church, both at Creekside and beyond.

Bryan and his wife Megan have four (soon to be five) children, and they see their family as their primary ministry as they raise their children to honor God, follow Jesus, and make disciples.

Student Minister

Isaiah Haywood

Creek Kids Administrative Assistant

Stephanie McSpadden

This year the Lord opened the door for me to become a part of the Creekside staff by helping Mrs. Lisa in the Children’s Ministry. My husband Josh and I, along with our three kids Hannah, Barrett, and Makayla started attending Creekside over 3 years ago. Through raising our family and seeing the profound effect a strong children’s ministry can have on little ones, I felt called to get ‘plugged in’ by volunteering first. Our family has grown so much spiritually since attending Creekside. We are truly blessed to call its members our family and to be living in truly authentic relationships with one another!

Creek Kids Ministry Assistant

Bethany Kibor

Childcare Coordinator

Casey Holland

Office Administrator

Ana Phillips

I am excited to be Creekside’s Office Administrator and get to work with some wonderful and fun people on a daily basis as we all serve our Lord and community. I started attending Creekside in 2015, when my not yet husband invited me to Easter service at his church. I immediately loved the environment and warm welcome by the members of the church so I just never stopped coming back! William and I were married in October 2016. I joined the Creek Kids Nursery Team in 2019 then joined the Common Ground Youth Volunteers in 2020. I later served as an Interim Youth Leader with Grace Prindle in 2022. Then I was blessed with a role in the church office 2023.

William and I don’t have any kids of our own yet, though they are in our prayers. But we do have 2 pretty awesome dogs, Wilbur and Charlie. Find me at church and I will show you pictures! Other than serving, I love to bake custom cakes, and also enjoy reading, painting, puzzles and tv shows.

Shepherds

Elder

Corky & Ruth Ann Brown

It was a blessing to us when our good friends invited us to come to Creekside about 10 years ago. Love, service, and commitment are the hallmarks we saw here. We pray that our work will continue to help spread the Word as we touch lives throughout this community.
Elder

Don & Linda Crum

My wife Linda and I have been married since 1992. We are both retired law enforcement. We have been at Creekside from the start and immediately felt the genuine love from everyone. We have experienced what God truly intended for us with this wonderful body of believers at Creekside. Our passion is simply seeking the truth and then delivering it in a spirit of love, joy and goodwill.

Elder

Randy & Claudia Fultz

My wife Claudia and I have been attending Creekside for close to 10 years. We have been married since 1998. We are both retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T. Creekside is a friendly, loving, and caring family.  We love our brothers and sisters at Creekside. We see a genuine desire to seek Jesus and we see Him living and working in so many ways. We are excited to seek out what God has planned for us and see how He is going to use us here at Creekside to bring Him glory. We love serving at Creekside.

Elder

Larry & Holly McRae

“My wife Holly and I moved to Midlothian in 2008 to be near two of our four children and ten of our 12 grandchildren.  Prior to retiring, I was the Operations Vice-President for Nexen Petroleum U.S.A. He received his B.S. Petroleum Engineering degree at Texas Tech University and spent his career developing and operating oil properties in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.  When he isn’t monitoring the stock market on the computer, he spends time tending to his Black Angus cattle.”

Larry’s career periodically required moving his family to different cities where his family served the local church.  His family participated in establishing a new church in Aberdeen, Scotland. He has served as Deacon at Singing Oaks Church in Denton, Texas and he has served 5 years as an Elder at Creekside.

Larry and Holly have a deep love for God and His word, and enjoy serving Him and the church at Creekside.  They love Creekside and believe this church reaches out to it’s members and serves this community. 1 Peter 1:8-9 expresses their sentiments: “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

Elder

Stan & Bonnie Moore

Creekside is family, and we mean that in all the positive ways that one would imagine as we seek to live in a community together.  I love that we are constantly striving for an authentic, unvarnished relationship with each other, and with our God. I truly feel the Holy Spirit at work here, and we are so blessed to be a part of this family.

Elder

Jeff & Brenda Holland

Brenda, my wife, and I became empty-nesters in the summer of 2023. Coming to Creekside in 2009, we quickly found our whole family growing in faith and being active in many aspects of church life. We have been blessed to serve hand-in-hand with Creekside for local and global ministry so that God is glorified.
Elder

John & Ann Wilson

My wife Ann and I have been blessed to call Creekside our home since 2011.  The genuine love for God and His family are evident each time we meet together as a family or small groups.  Our desire is to seek God’s will in all we do here that He may be glorified and people in Midlothian and throughout the world will come to know Christ as their Savior

Leadership

Deacon of Hospitality

Jim Smith

My wife Pat and I have been married since 1982 and live in Lancaster. We have two grown sons and seven grandchildren. We love our role at Creekside as greeters. Each Sunday we get to welcome members and visitors. It is our mission to help everyone feel welcomed and to share the love of God. We also love taking care of Creekside’s prayer garden nestled along the creek behind the Sanctuary. It is a peaceful retreat and ideal for prayer and reflection.

Deacon of Missions

Josh McSpadden

I have been leading Team Engage since 2019. We function as the local and global missions committee and are passionate about engaging our entire church in the redemptive work God is doing in Ellis county and abroad. I moved to Midlothian with my wife and three children in 2017 to start my medical practice. My anchor Stephanie has been married to me for 13 years, and our kiddos Hannah, Barrett, and Makayla keep us quick on our feet. The reality of my helplessness trying to do life my way coupled with God’s faithfulness and love towards me even at my worst drove me to a deeper zeal to get to know Him more.

Deacon of Adult Ministries

Wes Thornton

As the leader of Adult Education at Creekside, I coordinate our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening classes. We are blessed to have a number of gifted teachers at Creekside. The challenging part is arranging schedules and discerning the best studies for each class. I also try to promote new specialty classes such as parenting, marriage, and 12-step classes. We hope to eventually offer classes for specific group needs such as new Christians who are just learning the stories and lessons in the Bible.

My wife, Jane, and I have been married for thirty-four years. Jane heads up the Wild for the Word ministry and assists with children’s worship. We have an adult son, Matthew, married to Amanda, and an adult daughter, Meredith. Jane and I have been members of this church family for over thirty years. We’ve assisted and led many ministries, and we are especially excited about the future that we see on the horizon for this congregation. We pray that God will continue to allow us to participate where His Spirit is working in this community.

Deacon of Security

Mark Gonzales

My wife, Lois, and I became members of Creekside in 2003, when the church was still called Rolling Hills and meeting in Desoto. Joining this congregation was one of the greatest new beginnings to our lives. Our daughter, Alexis, was baptized at age 14 among our Creekside family. I became a police officer for the city of Dallas in 2002, which quickly opened my eyes to how fragile life is. It didn’t happen overnight, but God has led me to realize that he blessed me with the gift of loving people who are sometimes experiencing the worst moments in their lives. Sometimes our conversations are held in the back of a police cruiser on the way to jail, but I am afforded a unique opportunity to share my faith and relationship with Jesus, which are meaningful to all involved. As with my career as a police officer, my goal as the Security Team Deacon is to lead and follow a team of members who will protect our family at all cost so that they can worship, praise and learn in the safety Creekside.

Deacon of Special Projects

Ken Rowland

Since joining Creekside with my family in November 2018, I have been active in maintaining and upgrading the church grounds. I work on and manage a team that handles the maintenance and special projects that happen around the church facilities. I have been building sets and stages for both worship sanctuaries and children’s areas for almost two decades. It’s a joy to use the trades and skills I learned working with my dad growing up in the church as a way to glorify God with my hands and heart.
